Mr. Yopp comes to Webber after almost two decades in the music field.  As a director, he has excelled to the highest degree.  He has taken three programs beyond the limits set before his tenure.  The latest was at Lake Wales High School where tripled the size of the program in three years, took the band to three straight state marching finals, won the Williamsburg Music Festival in Jazz, as well as concert band, and bought a sense of pride back to the program.  Mike holds degrees from the University of Memphis with a certificate in teaching form Rhodes College. As a performer, Mr. Yopp has played with many great musicians.  Performing with such a greats as Rufus Thomas, The Temptations, Four Tops, and Little River Band, his students receive a perspective from an active, professional musician that will help to create a passion for music that will last a lifetime.
