Babson Park, Fla. – After taking tough overtime loss to the Tigers of Florida Memorial, Wednesday (January 27th), 82-81, the Warriors then took time to focus on their next big Sun Conference meeting against the Eagles, of Embry Riddle University at home, Saturday, January 30th.

WIU was lead by Tyrell Harper during the first quarter with 7points, as Mike Bonilla and David Marlar added 6points a piece.

The Warriors opened the game with a four point lead over the Eagles, but it was short lived as the Eagles fought their way back into game. As the scores tied five times during the first half, both team battled for dominance coming in to the second half.

The Eagles walked into the second half with a three point lead over the Warriors. From that moment on the Warriors could not find the momentum on the court and the Eagles walked away with another conference win under their belt, improving overall record to 19-4 and 8-1 in The Sun Conference.

The Warriors drop to 12-8 and 6-3 in The Sun Conference and currently tied for second place in the conference with cross town rivals Warner University and conference foes Northwood University.

WIU will take the court again in West Palm Beach, against Northwood University, with a 7 p.m. tip-off Wednesday, February 3rd. They then come home to take on the Seahawks from St. Thomas University, Saturday, February 5th, at 8 p.m.
