Babson Park, Fla. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that a record total of 857 teams received NAIA Scholar-Teams awards. Webber International University had four of their athletic teams honored with this designation.

The following WIU teams received this: Men’s Tennis, Women’s Golf, Women’s Tennis and Women’s Cross Country.

For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The team grade point averages much include all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible.

“Wow, as a coach of two of our teams that received this honor, I am extremely excited,” stated Athletic Director and Head Men’s and Women’s tennis coach, Bill Heath. “To have four teams from our school receive this award is very rewarding as an Athletic Director,” added Heath.
