Women's Soccer Fall to Eagles

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Webber International University women's soccer team traveled over to Daytona Beach to face off against the Eagles of Embry-Riddle University.  After defeating the Night Hawks, of Thomas University, the Lady Warriors fell short of a win against the Eagles, 0-4, last night (Monday, August 30th).

The Lady Warriors had 5 on goal shots by Tatem Tietgen, Taylor Larochelle, and Magen Carey. Keeper, Makenzie Vance, held her own in the first half with 11 saves, and with the help of her team, 4 saves in the second.  
 
The Lady Warriors pulled it together in the second half, slowing down the Eagles, only allowing seven shots the entire second period. The Lady Warriors will face off Embry Riddle again at home, on September 26, 2010, when they begin their Sun Conference play.
The women's soccer team is now 1-1 on the season and look to redeem themselves, Thursday, September 2nd, as they host the Lions of St. Leo University. The Lady Warriors match is set to kick off at 1 p.m.
