Erik Losey Joins the Warrior Football Staff

Babson Park, Fla. – Coach Erik Losey joins the Warrior football staff. He was hired to be the Offensive Line Coach.

Coach Losey came from Hixson, Tennessee to Babson Park, Florida to coach a young offensive line squad. He graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School in Tennessee in 2002. In high school, Coach Losey was a Runner Up Mr. Football in Tennessee his senior year at a 5A District. He was also awarded the All State First Team, All County First Team, and All Region First Team his senior year at Soddy Daisy High School.

Erik Losey graduated from Western Kentucky University on May 2006 with a Bachelor in Arts majoring in History / Social Studies. He was a four year letterman, two years with East Tennessee State University and two with Western Kentucky University. In 2005, Coach Losey earned AFCA First Team All-America .

In the 2007-2008 seasons, Coach Losey was a Graduate Assistant at Western Kentucky University under Offensive Line Coach Walter Wells and Head Coach David Elson.

In the 2009-2010 seasons, Erik Losey was the Quality Control Assistant at The Florida State University under Offensive Line Coach Rick Trickett and Head Coach Bobby Bowden and later Head Coach Jimbo Fisher.

Losey is a son of Ray and Sarah Losey. He is the youngest of four; his brother Chuck Losey is the Assistant Strength Coach at Vanderbilt University. Coach Losey is the proud uncle of five nephews and two nieces provided by his two sisters; Ginny Rhyne and Kate Hardwood.

Offensive Coordinator Matt Leone said, “Coach Losey is a great addition to our staff, He is a very intense and discipline individual who will help develop our young offensive line into good football players and great young men.”

Head Coach Kelly Scott added, “Losey brings intensity and fire to the offensive front that will be noticeable on game days.”
