Four WIU Students Compete in Pan Am Games

BABSON PARK, Fla. – WIU student and Brazil native Marcelo Suartz led all bowlers in the field on day 1 at the Pan Am Games as the athletes completed day 1 of the doubles events (6 games). Brazil is currently in 3rd after day 1 and half of the doubles event completed. Marcelo leads professional bowlers Bill O'Neil, Chris Barnes and Amleto Monacelli (6th on the all-time PBA earnings list). Marcelo shot 220 + 184 +245 + 233 + 213 + 224 a 219.8 average.

In addition to Marcelo, there are three other WIU bowlers in competition in the Pan Am Games this week.
