Valdosta, GA. – The Webber International University men's golf team finished in 5
th place at the Thomas University Fall Invite. The tournament was held at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia. The course for the 36 hole tournament played at 6,662 yards and was a par 72.
Finishing first was USC-Beaufort with a 290-294 and a two under par total of 574. Shorter University (GA) was runners-up, six strokes behind the champions.
The WIU team finished with a 587 total for the 36 holes and finished 13 shots behind USC-Beaufort. Webber had rounds of 300-287.
A Webber International player did win the individual championship in the tournament.
Connor O'Dell scored a 3 under par 69 on the first day and finished with a solid par 72 on day two, for a championship total of 3 under par at 141. WIU golfer
Craig Hughes tied for sixth with a one under par 76-67-143. Warrior golfer
Gustaf Hydbom tied for 15
th with a one over par effort for the 36 holes.
