VANCOUVER, Wash. - The 2011 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships were held on Saturday afternoon at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash.
The Webber International University Warriors were represented by
Brandon Scott, a sophomore from Lake City, Florida, who finished 83
rd with a time of 25:36. This time has put
Brandon Scott in the #3 spot all time at WIU. This was the highest finish that WIU has had in the last four years.
The Sun Conference was also represented by the Embry-Riddle Eagles team finished 28
th out of the 32 total teams in the event. Also four other Sun Conference runners competed in the event as individuals. SCAD Savannah's Ignacio Fernandez place 45th overall in 25:10, while his teammates Tom Koetsenruijter (26:04) and John Sutherland (26:53) also competed for the Bees, South Carolina-Beaufort's Marshall Meyer finished 291st. Meyer ran a 27:57 for the Sand Sharks.
