Webber Announces New Softball Coach

Babson Park, FL – Bill Heath, Athletic Director at Webber International University has announced that Amy Krazeise is the new softball coach for the Lady Warriors. Coach Krazeise will officially begin her first head coaching job on January 1, 2012. Krazeise was serving as a volunteer assistant coach during the fall practice season. Prior to arriving at WIU, Amy was an assistant coach at Georgia Southern University during the 2010-2011 season, where she worked specifically with the outfielders and slap hitters.

Krazeise played NCAA Division-I college softball at Stetson University from 2007-2010, receiving her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in education. She was Stetson's starting centerfielder for four consecutive years. Krazeise was named to the Second Team All-Athletic Sun team her junior and senior seasons. Also during her junior and senior years, she was an Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team honoree. Amy currently holds the Stetson University single-season record for runs scored.

Coach Krazeise is a native of Lake Mary, Florida and graduated from Seminole High School in 2006. She currently resides in Lake Wales with her husband David, who is assistant Athletic Trainer at Webber.

Heath also announced that Coach Krazeise was retaining the two current assistant coaches on staff. Ken Gaul will handle coaching the infielders and hitting Joe Quigley will serve as the pitching/catching coach and hitting.
