Babson Park, Fla. – Webber International University will be hosting the 4^th Annual Scenic 17 Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, July 31^st, 2011. This year the Inaugural Youth Challenge for children 14 and under will also take place. The start for the Youth Challenge is 7:00 a.m. and the 4th Annual Scenic 17 Sprint Triathlon will begin at 8:00 a.m.

The Inaugural Youth Challenge starts off with a 100 meter swim in Crooked Lake. Then the youngsters move to a three (3) mile bike ride along the shores of Crooked Lake. The racers finish with an 800 meter run on the campus of Webber International.

The triathlon is immediately following the youth challenge. Competitors start out with a ¼ mile swim in Crooked Lake. The racers then hop on the bikes for a 15 mile ride on Scenic 17 to Frostproof and back. The competitors then finish with a 5K run along the shores of Crooked Lake.

Entry fees for the Youth Challenge are $20.00 before July 25^th. After that date the entry fee will be $25.00. For the scenic 17 Triathlon the entry fee for an individual is $65.00 if paid by July 25^th. After that date the cost is $75.00 to enter. Teams are welcome to participate in the Triathlon and the fee is $140.00 per team until July 25. After that date the team fee goes to $150.00.
