BABSON PARK, Fla. - The countdown continues till the first indoor track meet of the season for the Webber International men's and women's track and field teams. The Warriors will make the trip up to Gainesville this Sunday to take part in the UF Gator Invite, contested in the O'Connell center on the campus of the University of Florida.
Gone this year are All-American s Jon Mott and
Juline Brice who have since graduated and left the program to a youthful crop of talented athletes. In a year that saw three All-Americans crowned in addition to a runner up finish for the men's track team; second year head coach Dr. Peter Ormsby's corps of athletes will look to build upon last season's performances and expectations.
The teams will next travel to Embry Riddle (1/28) in addition to making a trip to Christopher Newport University (2/4) to compete in the Vince Brown Invitational. The Warriors will round out their indoor campaign hosting the Warrior Track Classic (2/11) before returning to Embry Riddle for a last chance meet on February 18. This year's NAIA National Championships will once again be held in Geneva, OH at the Great Center on March 1-3, 2012.
