Jay Culver enters his eighth year as the Assistant Coach for the Webber International University Baseball program. He is responsible for working with the pitchers, coaching first base, and recruiting. Coach Culver has been a part of 325 of the Warriors wins throughout his career.
Coach Culver graduated from Haines City High School in 2001. He was a four year varsity starter for the Hornets baseball team where he was named to second team all county. He was also named the National Guard Scholar Athlete and the Sonny’s Scholar Athlete.
He then went on to have an accomplished baseball career at Webber International University where he was the Warriors “go to guy” as a middle reliever. In 2005 he helped the Warriors to win a USCAA National Championship as a senior. After graduating from Webber with his Bachelor’s degree, Culver stayed on as the Warrior’s pitching coach.
Culver is a native of Haines City, and now lives in Lake Wales. He earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Sport Management from Webber International University. Culver is married to his wife Nichole and they have two dogs; Captain Pickles and Odie McDoogle.
