Head Women's Soccer Coach

Head Women's Soccer Coach

Jami Hagy

Jami Hagy enters her 6th season at Webber International University as Head Women’s Soccer Coach. During her six-year tenure with the Warriors, she has built the program into one of the most competitive and respected NAIA teams in the Southeast. Under her guidance, the Warriors have enjoyed successful seasons and competed well within the conference over the last three years.

Hagy, 28, hails from Cape Coral, Florida and has been a student and staff member at Webber for ten years.  Hagy was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Warriors and was a member of the USCAA National Championship winning team in 2004.

After an esteemed college career which saw Hagy garner Player of the Week honors, and the Most Inspirational Player Award from her teammates on multiple occasions (after enduring eight knee surgeries), she moved into the coaching ranks.  A rapid promotion from assistant coach in 2006 to associate head coach followed in 2006. Her hard work and dedication were rewarded with a promotion to interim head coach for the 2007 season.  She led the team to a record of 7-7 which was a drastic improvement from their 3-12 record in the 2006 season. Hagy then recruited her first class of Warriors after the 2007 season which led the team to an overall record of 8-7-1 in 2008. The team also made the Sun Conference Tournament for the first time in eleven years. Hagy was given the award as Central Florida Intercollegiate Soccer Association Coach of the Year in 2008. In 2009, the team really began to show improvements the program was striving to for. For the second consecutive year the Warriors made the Sun Conference Tournament and earned a winning record of 11-5-1 with postseason play. Hagy became the all-time most winningest Coach for women’s soccer at Webber International University in 2009 with an overall record of 26-19-2.

In 2010, the Warriors competed in the toughest schedule the program had seen and ended up with an overall record of 8-8-1 and 5-3-1 in conference. They made the conference tournament for the third time in a row.  In 2011 the season ended short for the Warriors when they didn’t make the conference tournament for the first time since Hagy took over.  However, players are motivated to start fresh for 2012.  The first recruiting class Hagy brought in graduated and the team will have fresh new faces to compete to get to the top of the conference.

Hagy graduated with her undergraduate degree in Marketing from Webber in 2006 and completed her Master's degree (MBA) in Management in 2008.
